2026 SUMMER WEED SPRAYING PROGRAM

During January and February Council will be undertaking spraying on its urban road network, to kill grass and weeds growing through road pavements and kerb and guttering. This is an important part of Council’s maintenance program to ensure longevity of its road pavements.

Council has been made aware that fraudulent emails are being sent to members of the community by scammers impersonating Glen Innes Severn Council staff, including the General Manager. Some of these emails include requests for payment, which are not issued by Council.

Important Notice – Garbage Bin Collections

From Monday, 15 September 2025, JR Richards will no longer collect extra or unauthorised garbage bins. An unauthorised bin is one that is not being paid for as part of your household’s waste collection service included in your land rates.
