Council is committed to delivering a fair and efficient waste collection service for all residents.
From Monday, 15 September 2025, JR Richards will no longer collect extra or unauthorised garbage bins. An unauthorised bin is one that is not being paid for as part of your household’s waste collection service included in your land rates.
Council and JR Richards have identified more than 220 unauthorised bins being placed out for collection without an associated service.
To ensure fairness for all residents, these bins will be:
- Stickered as unauthorised from 15 September 2025
- Left uncollected if they are not part of a paid service
If you need another bin, Council offers additional collections for a fee as outlined in our adopted Fees and Charges.
