APPLICATIONS NOW OPEN 2026 AUSTRALIAN CELTIC FESTIVAL

The countdown begins for one of Australia’s most unique and immersive cultural events, the 2026 Australian Celtic Festival, held at the National Celtic Monument of Australia, the Australian Standing Stones in Glen Innes, from 30 April to 3 May 2026.
Glen Innes Severn Council is excited to announce that applications are now open for traders, performers, and clans/ societies wanting to be part of next year’s celebration of Celtic culture, heritage and community.
Each year, the festival attracts thousands of visitors to the Glen Innes Highlands for a weekend of vibrant music, dance, traditional and contemporary Celtic arts, and immersive historical experiences.
With a theme celebrating the rich traditions of Scotland, the 2026 event promises to be bigger and more diverse than ever.
Mayor Margot Davis said, "With the Australian Standing Stones now officially gazetted by the Geographical Names Board of NSW, the 2026 Australian Celtic Festival offers a unique opportunity to celebrate our Celtic heritage on a site long cherished by locals and visitors.”
“The Year of Scotland will bring music, dance, history and community together, highlighting Glen Innes as the heart of Celtic culture in Australia," Cr Davis said.
Opportunities now open:
- Traders: Showcase and sell artisan goods, food, drink, Celtic-themed merchandise, and more.
- Performers: From high-energy Celtic bands to solo musicians, dancers, storytellers, and re-enactment groups, children activities all are welcome to apply.
- Clans & Societies: Share your history, connect with your kin, and represent your heritage at one of Australia’s most celebrated Celtic gatherings.
