GLEN INNES SCHOOL OF ARTS & MUSIC OPEN DAY HITS ALL THE RIGHT NOTES

The Glen Innes School of Arts & Music Open Day and Official Opening on Saturday 20 June hit all the right notes, with locals turning out to explore the new space and enjoy a full day of music, art, pottery and creative activities.

 

The old Severn Shire Council building came alive as community members got a taste of what the new pilot program can offer. Designed as an early step in activating the space, the program is helping build momentum, test ideas and create opportunities for arts and music to flourish in Glen Innes.

The official opening was led by Mayor Davis, with a beautiful piano recital by Keiko Robertson and performances from the newly formed Glen Innes Highlands Choir adding something special to the occasion.

 

Well over 100 people came through across the day, a strong turnout and a great sign of community interest in this exciting new space.
