The program reflects the ideas, interests and priorities of young people in the community, ensuring activities are inclusive, relevant and genuinely youth‑driven.

Pixels and Popcorn
Youth‑led Movie and Mario Kart Experience
Pixels and Popcorn is a fun, social event designed by young people, for young people. The event combines a movie screening with a Mario Kart competition, creating a relaxed cinema‑style experience with an interactive twist.
This youth‑led activity focuses on social connection, shared experiences and inclusive participation in a welcoming environment.

Dare – Skate. Create. Celebrate
Skatepark Festival
A highlight of Youth Week 2026, this action‑packed skatepark festival brings young people together to celebrate creativity, movement and connection. The event will feature professional skateboarding workshops, youth service information stalls, and a rock‑climbing wall, creating an energetic and engaging festival atmosphere.
In partnership with JobLink Plus, young people will also take part in a Design Your Own Helmet workshop, combining creativity with important safety messages and positive risk‑taking.

My Culture, My Pride
First Nations Youth‑Led Creative Workshop
Hosted at the Youth Booth, My Culture, My Pride is a First Nations youth‑led workshop celebrating culture, identity and self‑expression. Participants will digitally design artwork that reflects their culture, which will then be transferred onto their own winter hoodie.
The workshop aims to foster cultural pride, strengthen connection, and increase awareness while providing young people with a creative and meaningful experience during Youth Week.
