COUNCIL PARTNERS WITH LIFEGUARDING SERVICES AUSTRALIA

Glen Innes Severn Council is pleased to announce it has signed a 12-month contract with Lifeguarding Services Australia for the operation and management of the Glen Innes and Emmaville Aquatic Centres. The contract will take effect on 1 September 2024, with the pool season scheduled to begin at the end of September.
Lifeguarding Services Australia will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of both aquatic centres, ensuring that high standards of safety, maintenance, and customer service are upheld throughout the season. This partnership is aimed at enhancing the overall experience for all visitors and ensuring that the centres continue to provide a safe and enjoyable environment. Lifeguarding Services Australia brings extensive experience and expertise in aquatic centre management.
Glen Innes Severn Council General Manager Bernard Smith said Council is looking forward to this collaboration with Lifeguarding Services Australia for the next 12 months.

We look forward to a successful season and providing an excellent experience for our community,” said Mr Smith.

We work with council and community groups on improving preventative health outcomes, increasing employment and providing a safe and enjoyable place to swim and relax. We are looking forward to partnering with Glen Innes Severn Council and working with all the user groups across the summer.”
The Glen Innes and Emmaville Aquatic Centres will open for the 2024/25 season at the end of September, with a range of activities and programs scheduled for all ages.
