The 2025 Australian Celtic Festival event drew thousands to Glen Innes for a weekend of vibrant culture, music and community spirit.

Nearly 4,000 tickets were sold, along with an additional 500 passes issued to children, sponsors, performers and volunteers. The Festival welcomed international guests and saw a noticeable shift in audience demographics, with a strong turnout from visitors aged 25 to 35 - highlighting the event’s growing appeal to younger audiences.

Festival highlights included the ever-popular Street Parade, Pipe Bands and Highland Games, the introduction of thrilling axe throwing and a packed cultural program of music, dance and storytelling. Local traders reported a bustling weekend, with many sharing positive feedback on both crowd numbers and spending.

This year’s ACF Celtic Food Trail was another standout success, with a record number of local businesses taking part and showcasing Celtic-inspired dishes throughout town. Interest in next year’s Year of Scotland theme has already begun, with enquiries from performers, traders and visitors already rolling in.

Council would like to extend a huge thanks to the ACF team, the volunteers, sponsors, performers and the wider community who helped make the 2025 Australian Celtic Festival such a memorable celebration - and to all Council staff who supported the event behind the scenes.
