PROGRESS ON BRIDGES

Onsite construction of the new bridge over the Mann River on Old Grafton Road is well underway. The contractors have removed the remaining western piers in preparation for the installation of the rock anchors for the new foundations. Work on the new bridge construction is expected to be completed in late February or early March 2021. Traffic can cross the river using the existing side track.

Work is completed on the bridge over the Severn River on Yarraford Road at Dundee. The new laminated timber superstructure and deck have now been installed. The deck and approaches have been sealed and this bridge is open to traffic.

The Ten Mile Road bridge over the Deepwater River has been completed. Once traffic has utilised the bridge for several weeks and the necessary settling and compaction has transpired, the approaches will be sealed.

Construction has commenced on the replacement of the bridge on Rileys Road at Stonehenge. The old two (2) span timber bridge will be removed, upgrade works will be carried out on the abutments and the timber components will be replaced with new laminated timber products.
