DEEPWATER WATER RESTRICTIONS

Due to ongoing drought conditions level one (1) restrictions commenced in Deepwater from Wednesday 27 February. Under level one restrictions residents may use garden sprinklers only between the hours of 6pm and 8pm. Further information on levels of water restriction can be found on Page 14 of Council’s Drought Management Plan.

No water restrictions are in place within Glen Innes due to the supply available in the Eerindii Ponds, however residents are advised to minimise water consumption in these dry times to avoid excessive water consumption bills. Residents may be interested to know that if the Eerindii Ponds storage was not in place, level five (5) restrictions would have been implemented at this stage, with the Beardy Weir now more than 600mm below top water level.

If you have any questions in relation to water restrictions, please contact Council’s Department of Infrastructure Services on telephone 02 6730 2371.
