John Holland Rail (JHR) has been working with the Heritage Council of NSW on the development of a methodology to help assess the conservation suitability and develop management approaches for the population of heritage listed Queen Truss Timber Bridges they manage of behalf of Transport for NSW.

JHR manages the following Queen Truss Bridges in the Glen Innes Severn Local Government Area:

  • Yarraford Rail Bridge
  • Dundee Rail Bridge

These bridges are redundant assets and is anticipated that they will require extensive maintenance and upgrade works in the future. An important part of this process is consultation to seek local community and Council input into the importance of these bridges.

Council would like to invite interested persons to attend a Queen Truss Bridge Strategy meeting at the Glen Innes Severn Council office, 136 Church Street, Glen Innes on Friday, 21 February 2020 from 9.00am to 10am.
