COVID-19 Safety Plans

The Public Health (COVID-19 Restrictions on Gathering and Movement) Order (No 3) 2020 came into force on 1 June 2020.  This permitted many cafes, restaurants and other food retail businesses to welcome up to 50 patrons.

The Order also brought with it the legal requirement for these businesses to complete a COVID-19 Safety Plan.  By having a plan the business can help staff and customers keep safe.

You can either:

1.   Develop your own plan to address the checklist of matters on the NSW Health website COVID Safe Businesses.

OR

2.   Use one of the templates below:

COVID-19 Safety Plan (Pubs, Clubs, Small Bars, Cellar Doors, Breweries, Distilleries & Casinos)

COVID-19 Safety Plan (Resturants and Cafes)

Updating your plan

You may need to update the plan in the future, as restrictions and advice changes - you can make changes to the plan if you've printed or saved it, or you can choose to download and create a new version of the plan. If you have registered as a COVID Safe business, you don't need to re-register

At the request of NSW Health, the Food Authority has been working with them and other agencies to develop a framework to support food businesses develop and comply with their COVID-19 Safety Plan.

Please visit NSW Government COVID Safe Businesses where you can also complete a template Covid-19 Safety Plan and register as a Covid Safe business.
