UPCOMING KERB REPLACEMENTS – ROBINSON AVENUE
Please be advised that kerb replacements are expected to commence on Robinson Avenue on 19 April, 2017. Working hours will be between 7.30am and 4.00pm and should have minimal impact on vehicular movements along Robinson Avenue. The expected duration of the works is three weeks.
The works are part of a full rehabilitation of the road surface, with road works to be completed at a later date. During the kerb replacement works, vehicle access to properties will be closed to allow for works to be carried out. Parking will also be impacted around the works site. Council staff will be available to inform any resident of the expected duration of disruption to property access. Our staff endeavour to complete these works with minimal impact on residents and will accommodate any emergency situations where access is required.
KERB REPLACMENTS ON TAYLOR STREET commenced on Monday 10 April. The works will be taking place on Taylor Street between the New England Highway and Grey Street intersections. Working hours will be between 7.30am and 5.00pm and should have minimal impact on vehicular movements along Taylor Street. During the kerb replacement, vehicle access to properties will be temporarily closed to allow for works to be carried out. Parking will also be impacted around the works site. Work is expected to continue for another 2 to 3 weeks.
UPCOMING ROAD CLOSURE ON BARFF STREET
Road rehabilitation works will commence Wednesday, 26 April. Working hours will be between 7.30am and 4.30pm will involve a full road closure. These works are expected to continue for 2-3 weeks.
TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF THE HIGHLAND HOME BRIDGE ON GULF ROAD
Please be advised that the bridge over the Highland Home River on Gulf Road will be closed from Wednesday, 26 April 2017. Working hours will be between 7am and 4pm and it is expected that the works will be completed in 1-2 days.
Council will accommodate any emergency situations where access is required.
ROAD CLOSURES ON GEORGE STREET AND PITT STREET
Resealing works are expected to commence on George Street and Pitt Street from 4 May 2017. Working hours will be between 7.30am and 5.00pm and will involve full road closures for through traffic. There will be strictly no on street parking permitted during working hours.
