The main duties performed by this branch of the department include:

• Maintain and beautify Council owned parks and garden areas within the Local Government Area;
• Develop new parks, gardens and sporting fields;
• Monitor safety issues within the community's open space areas;
• Provide private works jobs for members of the community (Call Council for private services available and hourly labour rates);
• Maintain and provide services for all cemeteries within the LGA;
