Welcome to Glen Innes Severn Council

Glen Innes Severn Council covers an area of 5,487 sq. km, and is located in the beautiful New England area of N.S.W., servicing the town of Glen Innes and villages of Deepwater, Emmaville, Glencoe and Red Range.

The Glen Innes Severn area is known as Glen Innes Highlands (Celtic Country), and is the home of the Australian Standing Stones, where the Australian Celtic Festival is celebrated annually in May.

**JUNE COUNCIL MEETING

The next Council Meeting will be held on Thursday, 22 June at the Glen Innes Severn Learning Centre Conference Room, starting at 6.00pm The Business Paper will be available for viewing on Council's website at http://www.gisc.nsw.gov.au from approximately 5.00pm on Friday, 16 June, and in the reception foyer of Council's Offices at 265 Grey Street and 136 Church Street from Monday, 19 June.

A Public Forum will be held for 15 minutes before the start of the Council meeting, at 5.45pm. Residents wishing to address the Public Forum are kindly requested to contact the Executive Assistant, Debbie Duffell, on 6730 2316 by 12 noon on Wednesday, 21 June.

Some of the reports included within the Business Paper are:

  • Adoption of the 2017 – 18 Operational Plan and Budget;
  • Adoption of the Community Strategic Plan 2017 - 2027 and the Delivery Program 2017 – 2021 with supporting Workforce, Long Term Financial and Asset Management Plans.

Members of the community are encouraged to contact Councillors prior to the meeting if they have any questions or concerns about any reports within the Business paper.  Councillor contact information is available under the Council Structure tab of this site.

Those community groups that received a grant from the Community Donations Program 2016 - 17 need to complete and return their Donations Report to Council by 30 June 2017
