Glen Innes Severn Council covers an area of 5,487 sq. km, and is located in the beautiful New England area of N.S.W., servicing the town of Glen Innes and villages of Deepwater, Emmaville, Glencoe and Red Range.

The Glen Innes Severn area is known as Celtic Country, and is the home of the Australian Standing Stones, where the Australian Celtic Festival is celebrated annually in May.

DRILL AND BLAST OPERATION AT GLEN INNES AGGREGATES

Glen Innes Aggregates quarry will be conducting a drill and blast operation during the week commencing Tuesday, 4 October, weather permitting.

Public Exhibition

THE NEXT ORDINARY MEETING OF COUNCIL will be held on Thursday, 22 September at the William Gardner Conference Room, Glen Innes Severn Learning Centre, 71 Grey Street, Glen Innes commencing at 5.15pm with a community consultation session held at 5.00pm.

 

***CHANGE OF VENUE FOR FAMILY PICNIC DAY***

(Saturday, 24 September 2016)

Due to continuing wet weather, the venue for Saturday's Family Picnic Day has been moved to the Standing Stones.  Council will provide a bus to transport children and families who are unable to walk or drive to the Standing Stones.  The bus will leave the Life Choices - Support Services building (134 Church Street - at the rear of the Coles car park) at three intervals throughout the morning: 9.45am, 10.45am, and 11.45am. Transport back to Life Choices - Support Services will also occur during and after the event.  Manager of Community Services, Janine Johnson, will be available on 0428 745 757 on Saturday to assist residents.  Council apologises for any inconvenience and encourages interested residents to contact Angela or Kristy on 67302 210 for further information leading up to Saturday.
